Just about 7 months ago, the TanTum 300 all Electric Utility Vehicles were introduced at the Bruce Nuclear Power generating station in Tiverton, Ontario .... Versatility of the vehicles provides the needed flexibility and mobility of various items and work groups to deliver much needed materials for the re-start activities at the Bruce Units 1 & 2. Future plans are to provide more vehicles for the re-modeling of the Units 3 & 4 and an expansion is planned to participate in a fleet of electric vehicles for the underground warehouse that is still on a drafting table.
TanTum Automotive Inc. management is very pleased that we stepped into this market and to assist to the Ontario Governmental agency to provide vehicles with electrical powertrain that is produced right at the site. This is a win win situation and a leading example of good forward thinking by the Bruce Power Authority management. TanTum is currently proposing few other models, such as the popular maintenance box and the very unique HAZ-MAT units, which will have definite and positive impact on daily operation of the working crews. After all, TanTum provides vehicles that are custom made for various applications. TanTum stands for "unique product for unique applications and unique markets".
TanTum unveiled its Spill Management truck at this years Fire Trade Show located in Sarnia, Ontario. Along side with 200 exhibitors, with products related to Fire Equipment as well as Spill Management, TanTum Automotive Systems presented the TanTum HAZ-MAT; equipped with a unique vacuum pump and waste drum disposal system.
